Crab and Lobster Festival auction success

13 October 2018
We're overjoyed that the Constantia Cottage Restaurant 'Game of Thrones' style lighthouse raised a brilliant £190 at The Crab and Lobster festival grand charity auction at Cromer Parish Hall. The festival is dedicated to promoting our local seafaring heritage and active fishing community. Mr and Mrs Michael Briggs from Bolton, Lancashire won the bid and they said they will be displaying it in their shop back home. Congratulations to all the wonderful lighthouses on display and everyone involved. Above all it was great to chat to friends and welcome visitors who traveled from afar. All together, the auction raised £5,600, with the highest selling lighthouse fetching £370. Made by Bob Crook for Cromer Gift Shop, it featured Cromer itself, with the town’s own clifftop lighthouse sitting above a row of beach huts.
