Andreas Hosting Food Theatre Cromer and Sheringham Crab and Lobster Festival 2012

18 May 2012
Lively Greek chef from Constantia Cottage Restaurant is set to host this years cooking demonstrations and add his own brand of Mediterranean magic to the proccedings. In last years festival Andreas surprised the crowds when he cooked a seafood extravaganza called 'Lobster Kapama' while dancing to Zorba the Geek. The zany routine was inspired by the unforgettable Morecambe and Wise famous kitchen scene where the duo perform a dance using various kitchen utensils and food items, including Ernie catching slices of toast as they popped out of the toaster, and finally opening the fridge door to be bathed in light, as if on stage, while he pulled out strings of sausages which he whirled around to the tune.

The spotlight will be on a fine selection of local celebrity chefs promoting local produce in a seafood extravaganza "I have done my homework concerning our guests" explained Andreas "This is such an important event so preparation is the key to ensure everything runs smoothly, I'm honored to be asked to compere the food section and I have a few surprises up my sleeve"

The full line up for the cooking event includes, Chris Coubrough TV chef/presenter;“Coastal Kitchens”, and “Taste of Greenland” TV series (Flying Kiwi Inns, Norfolk) - TV Chef, author, "Cooking in Provence", and teacher who runs Delia Smith's Cookery Workshops at Norwich City Football Club, and Kids Cookery School. - Jamie Payne (Virginia Court hotel, Cromer) - Tom Cox (The Lobster Pub, Sheringham) - Elliot and Robbie (Rocket House Cafe, Cromer) - Paul Harvey (Cliftonville Hotel, Cromer) - Ben Mutton (Marmalades Bistro, Sheringham) - Gary Hooper (Tesco Fish Specialist) - Noel Gant and Hilary Thompson (Festival co-chairs) - Andreas (Constantina Cottage Restaurant, East Runton)

This years festival promises to be bigger and better with a mixture of fun including food, music, street entertainment, stalls and a pier crabbing competition, which attract more than 25,000 visitors to the twin resorts. Events will be shared across the two towns over the weekend of May 18-20, starting with a concert at the Cromer Pavilion Theatre on the Friday, and activities in Cromer on Saturday before it moves to Sheringham on the Sunday.
